Collaborative development live demo
The term “version control” usually scares people off. It’s something obscure, nasty to handle, and the benefits remain unclear - “something for professional software developers, not for me” is a thought not too uncommon. And some of these reservations were actually true before the advent of GitHub.
Nowadays, it is safe to say that using version control has never been easier. In this session, we will demonstrate how the interaction between git (the most popular version control system), together with the internet platform GitHub, can be used for collaborative development.
The virtual machine already contains a git
installation. If you want to participate interactively, you should get yourself an account on https://github.com.
